i am a lactation consultant and have spent 12 Years Supporting Mothers and I've Learned That There's A Breastfeeding Solution To Every Breastfeeding Problem.
Who I Am
I’m a fully insured International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, a La Leche League Leader and a mother of three. And I’m here to help you reach your breastfeeding goals, whatever they may be.
My breastfeeding journey started long before my first baby was born. In fact, it started with my work as a preschool teacher when I met breastfeeding families on a daily basis.
As a result, when I became pregnant with my first child in 2002, I discovered the value of having a network of experienced breastfeeding families. And I learnt first hand just how much encouragement and support is needed to successfully breastfeed on your own terms.
After overcoming some hurdles, I fell in love with the convenience and connection that came with breastfeeding. So, my daughter Freya and I started attending La Leche League meetings. By 2006 I was a La Leche Leader, supporting breastfeeding families who needed the help and encouragement I had received.
I had two more babies, Xavier arriving in 2011 and Aurora arriving in 2014. So, in 2016, spurred by my years supporting hundreds of breastfeeding families, I decided to take the next step. I undertook the board exam to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant so I could help families on a deeper level. I sat my exam in April 2019 and passed.
I’m so excited and honoured to work in private practice and to help you meet your own goals whatever that may look like and however they change on your own personal journey. I’m here to serve all family types in Cork City and look forward to meeting you.
